This is the conclusion to a trip that was filled with laughter and jokes.
On our 4th and final day, after the boat dropped us back at Pengkalan Gawi, our van took us back to Kuala Terengganu town. The first place we go is, of course, to eat. Apparently, there is a "Chinatown" in KT too, slightly reminiscent of Jonker Walk in Malacca (to me).
Kuala Terengganu's own Chinatown |
One of the places we went to is to buy some keropok lekor at Pasar Besar KT.
Sellers will be sitting up high overlooking their merchandise |
Besides food items, you can buy souvenirs, batik, silverware, and all sorts of trinkets here.
My most favourite place that we went to is probably the Pantai Batu Buruk. It has been a while since I last went to the beach. The only thing I detest is the hot sun. But since it was evening when we went, I get to thoroughly enjoy the view and listen to the soothing sounds of the waves.
Playing kites as it was windy that day |
Playing jump shot in the beach |
It started with 4 girls jumping |
and ended with 8 girls jumping! |
Since we do not have official banner, all you need is just stick and sand=) |
After a very heavy and delicious dinner, it was finally time to collect our luggage from Phon's sister's house and leave for the airport.
One last time chatting in the boarding room |
There were 4 people flying the Firefly and the other 9 were on the Air Asia flight. Unfortunately, our Air Asia flight was delayed for...3 hours! There was some thunderstorm happening in KT, apparently. Our plane could not land in KT so it went back to KL for fuel before coming back to KT. Yes, that was according to the announcement.
"something wrong" with the plane " can not" fly "up". We waited till "out of breath" |
Basically, the 9 of us were stranded in the airport for 3 hours. We were quite lethargic so we just sat and rested and ate stuff bought from the convenience store. Mind you, our flight was supposed to be 9.30pm but the plane only arrived at 12.45am.
Arrived at LCCT around 2am. Took bus to KL Sentral, 3am. Reach home at 4am.
Total exhaustion.
But it was an unforgettable trip with full of memories =)
