when she comes, …
I realized that I update my other shopping blog even more often than I do with this one. Haih…maybe it is coz for the other blog, I can keep the words short and simple. Lately, I have been feeling like having a blog is kind of like a burden. I feel forced whenever I am blogging. I don’t know why. Maybe I have really lose the interest in blogging already. After more than 2 years, I sometimes wondered how long will this blog continues? I have even lost the interest in reading friends’ blogs too.
I am being surrounded by the thoughts of my LI report and my research project. As my LI training is slowly coming to an end in 2 weeks’ time, I want to be able to finish my report by then and get started on my research project. It is just so worrying whenever I think about it that I refuse to think about it during my LI.
LI is also becoming boring lately. Because it is such a small company, I have already learned all that is to be learned. So it is becoming mundane. Plus, a friend has been transferred to another department so it is getting boring now.
Anyway, I have been wanting to post about this a really long time ago. I think about 3 weeks ago? During my first week of LI, Clara came over and stayed at my house for the weekends.
*****MID VALLEY FOOD & NUTRITION CARNIVAL********
We went to Mid Valley on a Saturday and shopped for hours. Coincidentally, MV was having a food and nutrition-themed fair at the exhibition hall. We had lots of fun trying all the samples and getting freebies. LOL. I will let the photos do the talking=)

when you are now officially over your third year in pharmacy…
boo-hoo. i realized so some of my friends are graduating this year. and no, that does not include me. sad, but true. however, i am already done with 75% of my journey, one more year. i wondered how will that time be (?).
thank you for my 3rd year in ukm. first time being part of organizing committee not only for “tung fang zhi ye” (sorry if my pinyin is wrong) and also “night of the venenum”, the only two dinner parties i ever go to every year. also, most memorable this year is the start of our thesis year. really appreciate prof thomas being my supervisor, despite me knowing what a busy man he is and that i really should not bother him with every little detail. also thanks to anyone who have listened to me ‘whine & complain’ about my research project.
anyway, thesis is one big fan nou thing that i won’t speak of here. let’s just say previously i took things too lightly without considering a lot of aspects as well as consequences :(
9 weeks of holidays = 3 weeks of doing work in hukm + 6 weeks of industrial training at natural wellness. haih, and you call this holiday?
well, my post-finals activities ain’t so sweet like previous times anymore due to the burden of THESIS. the only time we are free to go out is evening time, after we come back home from doing our respective work. sad, okay?
my roommate suzane’s bday is approaching soon – 7th May. couldn’t have a nice bday dinner with housemates only due to one go back home, and two busy with work, plus three busy with their own entertainment. this was a present from her lil buddy, lelia.

today is january 21st 2010…
I am so bored of looking at my notes so I am procrastinating them to have a little update…I know, habits are hard to change, but I need to make effort to change my procrastinating habits soon…
Today is also the day of 2AM’s comeback. Yay. I have been waiting for their comeback since last year. Although they are not as popular as 2PM, but seriously their voices are so sweet and melodious. I admit, I was not that interested in them initially because I am not big fans of Korean ballad groups but after watching them in variety shows, 2AM has definitely garnered my interest. Seulong is not only tall and good-looking but he is so funny;)
And of course their leader Jo Kwon, whom I was already a fan of but became obsessed recently with his show, We Got Married. In it, Jo Kwon and Ga-In of Brown Eyed Girls act as a fake marriage couple. It is kind of like a reality show and he is so funny. But I think he has multiple personalities because sometimes he can be so cute, so brave and also so charismatic at times. He never fails to make me laugh during every episode. I wish he and Ga-In can end up together for real ~~!!!
By the way, I totally recommend their songs and their latest album. Their voices are great. **Click on the pic above to be directed to the downloads**
Another album I have been listening and loving to lately is new indie band CN Blue’s. Again, I was not interested in them because Korean indie bands is not really my thing. I like watching pop bands dance and wear weird outfits. Lol.
But of course, if you have watched the K-drama, “You’re Beautiful” then you would probably know that one of the members in this band plays the role of SHIN-WOO Hyung. Shin-woo is not my favourite character (I am fan of Tae-kyung~!) but I think this band really surprises me. Their songs are not bad at all. **Click on the pic above to be directed to the downloads**
Again, I find myself shopping to release stress. Another bad habit of mine, I sometimes buy stuff on impulse. I know I already have a collection of 2PM socks but I just cannot resist buying another pair. This time is leader Jaebeom. Sigh, I really wish he will come back to 2PM soon!!! ***Click on the pic to see my collection of socks***
I love buying necklaces lately. Here is the latest I bought. It is actually a cheap-looking necklace but I think I took a good shot of it kan? Not bad with my digital camera…kekekeke…I like this pic a lot…

I have been updating my other blog too. The shopping-oriented one. With CNY coming, I have gone into shopping frenzy for new clothes. But sad thing is that my mid-semester exams fall just before CNY so I cannot really spend too much time going out to shop.
All the clothes I bought recently are cheap stuff from flea markets but I still love them all the same. I am really excited for CNY and for more shopping!!! Are you?

you’ll never guess her secret, rest in pieces and d-i-y card
I am so broke already…pls do not tempt me to go shopping anymore…*sigh*…I need money!
*********************************************
Back for another week, very busy, but glad that mid-sem exams stress are over…
On Tuesday (1st Sept), I was supposed to have AF lab practical on fluorescence. But turns out we don’t need to do the practical because there was not any equipment in the lab. Although I was ecstatic we did not have to do lab, I wished they would have tell us earlier so I did not need to waste two hours on campus waiting for the lab practical to start.
On Wednesday (2nd Sept), I was supposed to visit an old folks’ home in Pudu for my Pharmaceutical Care project where we were required to check on the medications taken by the elderly to see if there are any problems. I think this project is a good thing to do and I was looking forward to it. However, on that day itself, just before we were about to go, the manager of the home called to say that there was a diarrhoea outbreak in the home, so our trip was postponed to next Wednesday.
On Thursday (3rd Sept), I went to One World Hotel, together with Carolyn Lee for the SS501 fan-meeting. The others who went were my Biomed housemates, Suzane, Ngiik Ling and Mei Chen as well as my other coursemates, Wei2, Ai Li and Wei Ping. It was a one hour journey to One World hotel, from taking a taxi to Wangsa Maju LRT station, then taking the LRT to Kelana Jaya and then another taxi to bring us to the hotel.
-I heard from my coursemate that I appeared in Sin Chew Daily as one of the fans who kena rejected…ROFL…I think it is quite hilarious really. First time go to meet stars, failed and ended up in newspaper-
Alas, despite all our efforts, we did not get to meet the boys at all. I kind of expected it, actually. Because the fan-meeting starts at 6pm and we only start to leave at 4pm. Listening to other friends, I know you have to be at the venue very very early in order to meet stars. I guess it was just not my day. Haih…
After that, the whole gang of us went to Chiguya Ramen @ One Utama Shopping Mall for dinner…
-Me, Ai Li and Sia managed to find time to cam-whore in the toilets. LOL-
-Enjoying our dinner after not able to meet SS501-
-I sat with the “Family” of two Carolyns and one very SS Terev-
-Our table’s dishes. You don’t know the effort taken to make this shot. Haha-
-The other table, so many of us…the rest have to rely on their reflections to be in the shot-
After dinner, Ai Li, Carolyn, Terev and I decided to catch a late night movie, “FINAL DESTINATION 4”.
My verdict: It was okay-lar. The way they die is kinda scary but the after-effects were not, especially how they filmed the corpses are kinda fake actually. The storyline is pretty boring also. But overall, the scary effect is still there, but it was not as exciting compared to their predecessors. I watched FD 1, 2 and 3 as well before.
On Friday (4th Sept), 2 significant things happened today.
Firstly, I wanna wish my coursemate Kah Hang a very happy 21st birthday!!! I looked for a bday present for him but could not find anything suitable for him. Haih…I don’t like choosing bday presents for guys, very difficult. Plus, he is such a simple and un-materialistic guy, which makes it even harder. In the end, I decided to do a simple D-I-Y card for him.
It is not as nice as the one he made for my birthday (pic above), but I hope he likes it. It contains birthday messages from us 8 girls – Jia Ying, me, Janice, Ai Li, Wai Kuan, Mei Chieng, Tze Im and Wei Wei (I drew little faces of us all…but I think everyone looks the same, except for Jia Ying and Wei2…LOL).
And then, in the middle of the card, is another mini card, where I want to thank Wei Wei for composing a Mandarin poem for Kah Hang and Mei Chieng for writing the poem. Also, thanks to the others who contributed in making the card, especially in writing the Mandarin proverbs.
-The blogger sempat to pose with her finished product…hopefully I can do nicer ones next time;)-
After class that day, I went to Pavilion to watch the movie, “The Orphan”, courtesy of these complimentary tickets from Fly FM. The 6 of us went, myself, Suzane, BB, Wei2, Ngiik Ling and Mei Chen.
My verdict: Honestly, really scary and very nice movie! Esther, the orphan is so damn scary wei. Creepy but I like how the movie is straight to the point and not very draggy. And the story, you will never guess what is Esther’s secret…(Read Ai Li’s blog for the synopsis)…
Even during the movie, I cannot helped but laughed at Suzane and Wei2. I sat next to Suzane, and out of a sudden, she will start to scream. Scared me more than the movie itself. LOL. As for Sia, sometimes throughout the movie, I can see her face getting smaller and smaller. Why le? Because she buries most of her face in her jacket. Hahahaha. At one point, can only see her forehead only.
Too bad we did not get a chance to eat anything nice in Pavilion because by the time we reached the food court after the movie ended, it was close to closing time of 10pm. Next time maybe.
-Posing with stores that we can only see, and cannot buy. LOL-
-Outside Pavilion, and Babi Sia is wearing her new blouse. Woot woot!-
List of to-dos (still!)
PBL information, AF reports and lots of notes neglected! Still so much things to do! Sienz…
