Kota Kinabalu Sabah Part 2: Rumah Terbalik, Signal Hill, Filipino Market, Tanjung Aru Beach

Back to my posts about KK Day 2.

Breakfast of Tuaran Mee // Rumah Terbalik // Signal Hill // Filipino Market // Tanjung Aru Beach + Shangri-la Tanjung Aru // Dinner at Sailor's Cafe

Breakfast: local specialty Tuaran Mee. Portion: huge.

The cute little monster wants to photobomb me

Clear blue skies means the weather was extremely hot that day

We bought tickets to enter the house. It was an English-speaking guided tour. Very touristy. But no photos allowed inside.

It was not only the car that was upside-down

It was hard to find a place in KK that I have never been before as this is my second time here but it was BB's first time. The Rumah Terbalik is quite a recent attraction so it wasn't there when I went to KK 3 years ago.

Bird eye's view of the town of Kota Kinabalu from Signal Hill Observatory Tower. You get a peek of the ocean as well.

Pasar Krafttangan or Filipino Market.
An extremely hot place but you can get lots of souvenirs here. BB bargained for pearls.

A jump-shot!

We toured around Shangri-la Tanjung Aru. Pic taken by Suzane's niece.
The lobby was so pretty and airy.

Since our time at KK was so short, I tried to meet up with some of my university mates who are currently working in Sabah. Lucky for me, that weekend there was a Pharmacy conference happening at KK so although they were working at Tandek and Keningau, we managed to have dinner.

The food is quite good. Western-style but portion is also pretty huge. Seems like this was a trend going on in KK. I particularly like the interior of the restaurant, it has a ship/nautical theme happening. I was also glad that Suz and BB agreed to join us for dinner (we all studied different courses in uni).

The end of day 2. Day 3 will be our last day in KK. Yes, a very short holiday.
