“A friend is one who knows you and likes you just the same” – Elbert Hubbard

MY BDAY 2010 and POST VIVA1

My birthday is on 22nd November. As I am typing this, there is approximately 45mins until I officially turned 23 years old. This year’s bday also marks the final time I will be able to celebrate my bday with my uni mates as we would all be graduating next year. So this year’s bday is slightly bittersweet as I would miss all my UKM friends dearly.

I actually had a not-so-good day on Monday, no thanks to my lacklustre performance in VIVA. But I am glad that there were friends who comforted and consoled me. Thanks peeps~! After VIVA, those bitter memories seemed to disappear as I was truly having fun with so much activities planned out that week =) I also want to take this opportunity to thank all 7 dwarfs / princesses plus my 2 lovely roommates - Suz M + Beng Beng, and also my housemate, Ngiik Ling for chipping in to share my bday present. I love it so much. Hehe ;)

Tuesday 161110 – Cannes Tea House, Setapak

The 7 dwarfs / princesses – Jia Ying, Janice, Tze Im, Jane, Aili and Clara as well as fellow English-ed, Carrie, all helped to celebrate my bday at Setapak. Hehe. I sorta guessed it because it wasn’t always all of us eat dinner together, unless it was for some special occasion. The funny thing was that when Clara walked out with my cake, the candles blew out and she made a U-turn…LOL~!

Finally the group shot! Thanks everyone…I am so glad we have all completed our research project journey. Finally, a burden has been lifted. Let’s enjoy our last semester now~~!!

Wednesday 171110 – Tao Asian Restaurant, Sunway Giza

My second bday celebration is a joint celebration with a friend. The masterminds behind all this were Clara and yS. The story leading up to this dinner is pretty hilarious, actually. I didn’t realized they were going to celebrate my bday and I was not in the mood, so initially I wasn’t going to go. But finally after much persuasion, I went. And even then, more weird incidents ensue, all telling me that something was up and especially Clara, who is a really lousy liar (sorry!)…

07 08

We had lots and lots of Japanese food. We can choose a variety of foods from the buffet table and also from the menu, all for RM58++ per person. The place is good, and there were much food to eat. My favourite is definitely dessert…hehe…I am in lurve with chocolate fondue ;)

09 Baskin Robbins ice-cream cake. I have always wanted to try one. Hehe. So glad I finally did. Hehe ;)

Clara and me were so full afterwards ;)

We both wore our new maxi dresses. White lace vs. Black Lace. LOL.

Friday 181110 – Xian Ding Wei Taiwanese, Sg Wang

12

It has been a long time since I went out with Wai Kuan, whom I knew well since we shared Public Speaking class back in 1st year. She is really sweet and nice girl, I also hope you find your Prince Charming ya~. That day, after coming back from Bangi, I took some time to go shopping with her in Sg Wang, and man, did I shop. I spend all my $$$. Now, I am officially broke T.T.

We tried a new place, after being recommended by Jane, whom we coincidentally saw in Sg Wang too. Hehe. The food is good, and quite affordable too. The waitress was so sweet and so so so friendly. I mean it, she was really friendly. Haha.

13 14

Our set lunch. I had deep-fried chicken chop and WK had sweet-and-sour.

15 16

And then we had appetizers – sweet potato balls and their signature dessert.

Thank you to Wai Kuan again for treating me lunch. And tq for the bday present. I had so much fun that day. Really glad that we both remain close friends although we don’t see each other as often. Hehe.

And that concluded my birthdays part I, that I celebrated with friends. Each celebration may be small, but holds a deep meaning. I looked back in these 4 years and I am thankful to even make any friends, since I had so much language barriers when I first came. Thanks so much people~!

Next part: Birthdays with family;)
