Still day two…Jia Ying’s father drove us to Batu Ferringhi to enjoy the beach scene…
Quiet day at the beach.
Because it was too hot, we decided to wait for a while in the lounge of the hotel where Jia Ying’s brother works at.
The view that awaits us as we stepped into the sea water.
Yay, the 5 of us who ventured into the sand and water!

Needless to say I enjoyed the beach here a lot, which I find very surprising because I am not much of a beach person. The sun and sand are not exactly my niche. But somehow, walking in the water, with the waves coming crashing at your feet, feeling the wind breeze in your face and having an enjoyable company of friends, makes the whole scene feel so peaceful.
We then made our way to Gurney Plaza for window-shopping and dinner at this Chicken restaurant that I have never seen before. Very tasty =)

11th MAY 2009
My last day in Penang because I was leaving to KL, taking the 1pm bus.
Ai Li, still fast asleep. That girl is like a cat. Hahaha.
Breakfast was dim sum at Tim Sum restaurant, opposite KDU college.
After that, we went to eat again. Yes, again. Jia Ying and Tze Im felt that Mei Chieng and myself should tried the famous Penang Assam Laksa before we left.
The assam laksa that Ai Li and I handled well though the same cannot be said of the Sarawakians, who cannot stand it. Hahaha. Kesian. Sarawak laksa is not the same as Penang laksa, as I later learned when I went to Sarawak.

After that, Mei Chieng and myself took the bus back to KL. Janice and Ai Li are flying back to their respective hometowns the next day. I had to leave that day because I had earlier booked a flight to Kuching the next day. MC is going back to KL because there is no direct flight to Sibu from Penang.
We arrived at Old KL Sentral later than I expected. Had a little problem trying to get a taxi but finally we reached Setapak, tired and exhausted from our long bus journey.

AWWWW.... i missed the parachuting so much, last time i was there i was actually parachuting with the smiley parachute... wish i can go there soon...
