the ego has landed

Lately, because I am very much fascinated by the whole Korean pop culture, I don't really find myself keeping up to date with songs from U.S. or U.K.

But these are a few that I really like and have been replaying them in my mp4 player:

1) "Parachute" - by CHERYL COLE

2) "Secrets" - by ONE REPUBLIC {I watched "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" this week, hence the sudden liking to this song}

3) "Shut Up and Kiss Me" - ORIANTHI {Yet another catchy lyrical rock song...this girl really rocks~)

This week has been quite busy, with many more events up. Already this week, I went to watch "Sorcerer's Apprentice" at Wangsa Walk (1st time go there~~!!) and went to Tenji's Buffet at Solaris Mont Kiara (1st time drive there~!!).

This Friday is a Form 6 friend's birthday. Sunday morning is UKM buddies gathering. Sunday night is birthday dinner for UKM friend. Monday night is memorial for a primary school classmate.

On top of that, I am falling way behind in my notes and research project work. Time to buck up soon~!!

I am such a fan of printed tights but I think they are just so tricky to wear. So I really enjoy watching how Evita Nuh matches them so well. This is one of my favourite posts. There are more~~!!

lucifer

Yes, another exhausting week has passed by. The highlight of this week is probably meeting the 1st years. This is the last year for us to meet the freshies already. Very glad that they have a system this year whereby the juniors themselves come to meet us so we can get to know them. The boys, especially, stand out for me just because they are so "sporting" and so funny, albeit few of them are so "blur" they mistaken me for another senior.

The best part? One of the juniors asked me if I have a blog. Omg, imagine my shock that actually one of them had came across my blog whilst researching about UKM KKL, no doubt.

I also went out a few times this week. First time on a Tuesday. Went to Jusco Wangsa Maju with Clara to buy some presents. For who, I will rather not reveal until the recipients get their presents.

Then on Wednesday, went to Times Sq / Sg Wang / Pavilion. At first went there
with Ai Li baybeh to buy shoes. OMG, she was like a small kid when she could not find shoes. Kekekeke. But luckily, she finally did. After that, Clara joined us later after she finished her lab work. We walked to Pavilion to watch "Knight and Day" as well as have dinner at Dragon-i because Clara was insistent on trying the "siu long bao".

The movie was not bad. A little slow in the beginning but then halfway and towards the end, it was really funny and exciting.

On Thursday, all the juniors and us seniors gather to meet the 1st years. The juniors, this year, I must admit, are better than last year's. At least they knew our names quite well and they are really friendly. The boys are also very sporting and talented. A few stood out for the wrong reasons as well. A little stuck-up. All I can say is be careful what you say or write, you never know who will find out. I think it was a little stupid for the girl to post her resentment towards the seniors on Facebook. I mean, does she think she is the only one in the whole wide world that has Facebook? Wrong move there and all the seniors will now remember her for the bad reasons. She did apologized, so be it.

Yes, and now we come to yesterday, Saturday. It was Hari Interaksi Farmasi. The last one for me. Every year, I never fail to attend it although at times it can be really boring. I got transferred to sports house Amaranth from Indigo this year.

We found some face paint and started having fun with it. Can you guess whose hands are mine?

Anyway, I am really glad Amaranth came up as overall champions. Finally, after 4 years, I am in the winning sports house. Kekekeke, although I did nothing to contribute except screaming at the top of my lungs cheering.

perlas grises

lately i have been in some dilemma. not only about my thesis work, but on some personal issues too. maybe part of it is due to the fact that i am back in classes. it just feels like the burden on my shoulders are getting heavier. about the issue, i try not thinking about it because i felt like i didn't know how to deal with it. but there have been a lot of signs recently and if i look closely at them, i think i see the answers in them.

i don't think i have the answers for all my dilemmas right now. maybe i should just try to overcome them one at a time, and hopefully my burden will then unload by itself.

i just don't want anyone to get hurt.

the odyssey

Won't be able to go do my medication records at HUKM as planned. I am so worried that I may never be able to finish all the records on time.

This week was the first week of 4th year and it was like hell. Every day was 8am - 5pm with only 1 hour break in between. It's just like working, but worse as I have to concentrate on stuff like Clinical Pharmacokinetics, Quality Assurance and Hospital Clinical. Most of the time, I fell for the temptation of Hypnos. Haih...

Anyway, today I realized something. That no matter how difficult I try to run away from my thesis problems, I know that I cannot hide from it. I have to buck up some courage and face the most difficult part - statistical analysis.

Today someone annoyed me so very much. I cannot believe how selfish some people can be. Although a student's life can be a rat race, I just cannot imagine how some people can stoop so low and be so damn selfish. It just disappoints me.

Tomorrow I am going back home. I am glad to be able to relieve stress after such a tiring week. But sometimes I feel guilty because my housemates and coursemates don't get to go home as often as I do.

I hope I stay strong and pursue through this difficult journey...

the city

THE CITY

You need physical stimulation - both physical and mental. For you, love is something that hits you right between the eyes like a bolt of lightning. Without this strong attraction, a relationship just doesn't work. Because of this, you may be missing great opportunities to find the right person. Your relationship often turns out to be very intense, but also very short-lived.

So true...

Today I only had 4 hours of sleep and just have a nightmare at HUKM. I so wished I did not go today. What a waste of time. But it was fun meeting Chun Hong again. He is still very funny:) I have to go back to Setapak tonight. I am so not looking forward to it. Sigh:(

Wow, I have not been updating my blog for almost a month now. In my defense, there is really nothing exciting written in my books right now. I have three weeks break after my LI before classes start. During this three weeks, I spend most of my time in HUKM, trying to collect sample data for my research project.

On the first weekend, Mom and I went to Mid Valley to catch the movie, “SEX AND THE CITY II” and afterwards we had lunch at DELICIOUS.

On the 2nd weekend, besides having dinner with extended family members, I went to a primary school reunion at OLD TOWN LEISURE MALL.
