So, it is close to 1am now and I am supposed to wake up bright and early at 7am tomorrow because I need to settle my letters to Pharmacy Board at faculty tomorrow. Damn, all these government stuff are so cumbersome. What happened to the good old-fashioned way of looking for a job? Y'know, with resume, CV and interview, etc. And I am such a blur when it comes to regulations and formalities that I somehow feel that I might forget some important procedures along the way :(

I have been wanting to post about my Kenyir Lake trip on June 15th - 18th 2011 with my ex-Form 6 classmates. I am trying to hold back on the number of photos that I want to post in the blog here. I know I tend to post a lot of photos but I simply cannot resist it. Every photo, to me, tells a story and I just feel like sharing it.
I have been going through some of the Kenyir photos that have been published on Facebook by my friends and I just want to share some of my favourites that they took. I hope they are not big on the whole copyright thing. But hey, I did credit the photos to them lol. So, as a prelude to my Kenyir trip, here is the "summary" of it all, as seen from the eyes of my friends, the photographers themselves.
taken via iPhone
On the last day of the trip, I came up with the idea of making a montage of all the people that went on the trip. I had some fun playing with the Leme Leme app on my iPhone and I like the whole vintage effect of pictures. The effect is called Fallen Angel, btw. But we are no angels, that is for sure.
L-R, top to bottom: Val, WL, LiLing, Len Yi, Pui Pui; Soo Ee, Kian Ti, Mel, Phak Hoe, Phon; Ben, Tsu Wern, and me =)
I miss blogging wtf. I am such an addict. It has been some crazy weeks so far and I always came back home exhausted every night that blogging is the last thing on my mind.
Ever since I received the letter from SPA, I had to settle my medical check-up at a GOVT hospital wtf. That means HKL and its huge masses of people. Thankfully, I went to HKL bright and early for both days and managed to get everything settled in under 2 hours for both times:)
And to make matters worse, my two weeks training at Guardian was in June too. So after coming back from Taiwan, I had to apply one day leave to settle HKL and then go back to work, and then...wait...yes, I went on another trip again!
This time the destination was Tasik Kenyir, Terengganu. Company? BF Classmates, a name I use to represent my Form 6 Classmates at VI (coz U6BF was our class name). I had to take another 4 days off my training, for which I received severe consequences after I came back from Terengganu =(
Despite that, I had so much fun at Tasik Kenyir. More than I imagined actually. Honest be told, I am a 100% city girl and nature's not really my thing. I don't even know when and why I became like that. I grew up in my primary school days as a tomboy and I went camping every year! Somehow, I just grew out of that phase.
Ok wait, I got distracted from the trip =.=. Anyway, it won't do any justice just telling my trip in this post. I will post up the pics on the blog soon, hopefully tonight:) But facebook friends probably have seen them all.
I just finished work yesterday and I learned so much, but not enough I guess. Because on my last day, I am STILL struggling to answer customers' enquiries. Sigh. But I learned so much about OTC products (their brands, indications, dosage, active ingredients) and most importantly, I feel, is the ability to deal and to communicate with people. I agree with Valerie: "The one thing they don't teach us at uni is how to deal with people". Honestly, people are the actual challenges with any jobs. Thankfully, most of the customers who come to Mid Valley are educated people who speak fluent English. And I feel most comfortable when it comes to speaking in English:)
Thinking that I will finally be able to rest after finishing my hectic training, in one hours' time I have to drive to Mid Valley to hand in my assignment to Guardian and then meet Suz M for lunch (I am so going to ask her to treat me because she got her first salary wtf). Tomorrow I am going back to school, literally, to UKM to settle my Pharmacy Board letter. And then this weekend another BF gathering (maybe, still in the plans). Oh, and one more thing...next week I am flying again! Lol geng le wtf. I am flying solo to KK, Sabah to meet with 7 dwarfs, my good friends from UKM. They will be heading to Kuching first, for which I am skipping as I went there twice already. So, that means I have to fly all by myself from KL to KK. Although I fly quite frequently, this is my first time doing it alone and I am kind of nervous. I will have to ask my sifus Suz M and Clara for preparation info.
Ah well, I have to go get ready now. I have so many new clothes in my closet it is about to burst.
Have. to. control. shopping.
One of these free days I HAVE to re-organize my closet.
This week has been my worst nightmare. I can easily blame it on bad luck and all but I know, that it is all because of my own fault. Because of my stupidness and carelessness. Every time I remember that incident, I keep getting angry at myself. How can I be so complacent and forgot what my mom had told me? Alas, what has happened had happened and I only have myself to blame. It is indeed a painful lesson TT___TT...

On another entirely different note, I am dying to watch Glee Season 2 finale tomorrow on Ch711. I know, it has been about 3 weeks since the finale. I missed it when I went to Taiwan and when I came back, I cannot access the online streaming site anymore. Damn.
I have so many songs that I enjoy on this show. Recently, I remembered this song performed by The Warblers. I did not even like the original song by Keane that much and suddenly after hearing this on an episode of Glee, I am loving it so much. Yes, the power of Glee.

Today I went to Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) to do my medical check-up, part of the routine after receiving the offer letter to work in the government. There are many things that I was confused about so here I am just going to share my experience for those who may want to know beforehand.
Things to bring: Bring your medical report form and a photocopy of your offer letter as they will need one copy. Once you reach HKL, look for Wisma Kayu which is a relatively short orange building as it is where the medical check-up department is situated. If you have trouble locating it, try looking for the pink Maternity Building (Hospital Bersalin) first (Block G). Wisma Kayu is right opposite the pink building.
The medical check-up department is on the ground floor. You won't miss it. Once you reach there, they will give you so many forms to fill in. One for X-ray, 2 for urine test, etc.
Kind reminder for ladies, if you are having period, you cannot do the urine test.
Next, they will bring you to do the eye examination first. Today I had a rookie doing it for me and I am slightly upset because he seems so blur. After that, they will ask you to give them two urine samples. One for doping test and another for the biochemical test. For doping, you must hand in one urine sample to the medical check-up department but for the other sample, you must walk all the way back to the main building to the outpatient department (OPD).
At OPD, look for Bahagian A and hand in your sample to the satellite lab. Then go upstairs to the 1st floor to do your X-ray at the PDR department. Because you will need to change to hospital gown to do the X-ray, make sure you keep your belongings in a safe place or with friends and not with any hospital staff (because there was a notice warning the patients).
The only thing HKL won't do is the dental check-up. They will ask you to do at either government or private clinic. I did mine at Klinik Kesihatan Bandar Tun Razak which just took like 5 minutes.
However, for the other check-ups, HKL asked me to come back 10 days later for the doctor's appointment.
The medical check-up dept opens at 8am and I would advise to come early. Today I came almost 9am due to stupid kl traffic jam and I settle everything within 1 hour. Did not even wait long. And I brought a book and newspapers with me to kill the boredom, which I did not even have the chance to touch.
So, now I have to go again next Thursday which means I have to take another day off from my Guardian attachment. Why so many things have to happen in June?
Final exams results are out but I just cannot bring myself to check it yet...I guess I am just delaying the inevitable...again...

My loot from Taiwan
My Taiwan trip is not bad. Although some places are a bit dull. I like Taipei the best, maybe because I grew up in a city. Anyways, shopping in Taiwan is awesome although Bangkok is still my tops. Too bad I was on a budget so I cannot get all the stuff I wanted. The style in Taiwan is a lot girlier than my preferences but I still managed to copped some really pretty stuff.
Hopefully I will find the time to blog about my Taiwan trip...:)
Anyway, feel like posting some selca pics. I don't normally do it in this blog since I am not really some kind of avid fashionista. I cannot afford to buy branded goodies as much as I would want to. But I like eclectic, quirky and one-of-a-kind clothes and accessories. Oh, and I love vintage stuff too. There is something so beautiful and classic about retro stuff.
caged blouse, vintage bag: sg Wang | tutu skirt, vintage shoes: times sq
Really like this blouse a lot. Must have worn it the most out of all my new clothes. There is this new area opened at Sg Wang 2nd floor called, "Fashion Runway". Prices are higher than the other shops but their clothes are totally in-trend. Another place I frequent is Sg Wang 6th floor, "T-Hop Zone" because they are also selling really unique and trendy items, like this bright peach and blue vintage bag. The best thing about this bag is the lock which is super cute.
So my "surat pelantikan" (offer letter for my service in the government) arrived during my absence in Taiwan...and boy, can it be any complicating? It gives me so much stress just going through it...@_@

So finally, my last post on my Sarawak trip. I know, I am behind in my posts but it's just so tiring to keep up. Lol. Btw, I am also getting sick of flying already. I cannot believe how much I have been flying in just this 1 month...lol...
Anyway, this is a combined post of my 3 days 2 nights at Kuching. Didn't take as many photos because I have been to half of these places before:)
-day 4-
Our boarding passes for our flights to Kuching from Sibu
At Kuching, we stayed with Clara's friend, a very friendly girl called Linda and also Linda's bf, Davidson. They were very kind to drive us around whenever they were free. But because both of them have job obligations, so the three of us took taxis to some places.
Our first meal in Kuching - kolo mee for breakfast
We decided to watch a movie at The Spring Shopping Mall - "Fast & Furious 5". Super awesome movie, comparable with the first of the F&F franchise.
